Coaching Philosophy

I believe in consistency and obtaining information from highly credible sources. I wish I could go back in time and tell my younger self what to work on, the commonalities that all elite hitters share, how to run properly, how to handle failure, how to train, how to have an approach in the box, how to speak to coaches/scouts/colleges, how to be a good teammate, how to create the right habits off the field, etc. And now, if feels great to be what I once needed. I played with 6 Major League Baseball Teams. I’m a husband and father to 3 boys. My baseball journey began at the age of 5. Leading up to getting drafted in the 4th round by the MLB Pittsburgh Pirates, I remember playing in little league, travel ball, pony, high school, scout ball, Perfect Game Showcases, Area Codes, and College at Pepperdine University. I ended up playing 12 years of professional baseball from 2008-2020. I am blessed to have played with many of today’s best Ballplayers throughout my journey {Pirates, Phillies, Braves, Red Sox, Padres, Giants}. I am passionate about sharing what I’ve learned from my experience at literally all levels of the game, T-Ball through the MLB. I hope to be a crucial resource for both baseball players and families along their journey!
